DS Love and Berry Rack 'Em In
What do you get when you cross Japan's most popular portable with little girls' favorite button masher? Money, that's what. Sega Love and Berry arcade hit is getting a DS version. If pre-orders are any indication of how amazing this game will due, online reports suggest a monster hit. A million, yes, a million plus pre-orders have been placed for the DS version. Now if only they could figure out how to make it a brain game, then you'd be required by law to own it. Until then, lock up your daughters, 'cause the game goes on sale in Japan today! Brian Ashcraft

Nintendo DS Lite adds MP3 playback
Playing catchup with Sony's PSP
Matt Chapman, vnunet.com 17 Nov 2006
Nintendo has finally added an MP3 player to its handheld DS Lite console, although the software update will cost UK users £20.
This is in stark contrast to Sony's rival PlayStation Portable (PSP) system, which includes MP3 playback as standard.
The Nintendo system also falls down against the PSP when it comes to adding files to the console.
MP3 files are added to an SD card using a PC, but users will need to purchase a card reader and SD memory card separately.
The PSP connects to a computer using USB and, although users still need to buy an memory card, files can be dropped straight on to the console.
Nintendo's UK press relations firm refused to comment on the pricing, maintaining that this was the only information they had received from the US.
The Nintendo MP3 Player software will be available across Europe on 8 December. As well as playing MP3s on the DS Lite, it also works with the Game Boy Advance SP and Game Boy Micro.

Nintendo DS hardware topped Japan sales charts on substantially strong demand for DS software.
Media Create Co. on Fri. reported that the DS sold 113,097 units from Oct. 30 to Nov. 5. By comparison Sony Corp.'s PSP handheld sold 23,725 units and the Playstation 2 sold 20,982 units in the same period.
DS titles like a new Kirby offering, General Knowledge Training dominated the software charts with sales of over 159,000 units each.
The Nintendo DS has become the best-selling handheld this generation and offers a selection of core and casual game titles to attract a broad audience.
Nintendo hopes the mass market strategy for DS will trickle to its next home console, Wii. Wii will offer a large library of titles at launch from the role-playing game The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess to casual fare like Wii Sports.

PSP Review: Gangs of London
